Stamford Museum

Stamford has been called the finest stone town in England. Visitors can explore buildings from many periods, notably 5 Medieval churches and virtually untouched Georgian squares and streets. Stamford Museum offers the chance to explore the rich heritage of the town furhter. Significant images of the town's history can be found in the new Stamford Tapestry. First floor displays include Stamford Ware pottery, the visit of Daniel Lambert, together with the towns more recent industrial past. Lively temporary exhibitions and holiday activities are held, gift shop open.
